Meet Jackson!

Jackson was rescued in Puerto Rico and I adopted him in April 2022. Jackson is a bilingual puppy. He understands both English and Spanish. In fact I believe that he understands Spanish better than I do. Some say that humans and their dogs look alike. I guess this is true since my childhood friend told me that Jackson is an Alisa look-alike.

Nobody knows when exactly he's born. Vicki (my Ph.D. advisor) suggested March 4th, and that is now Jackson's birthday! Fun fact: March 4th is also Vicki's birthday. :)

I hope one day to develop a machine learning algorithm that will translate dog and cat communication for humans (https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.adg7314​). 

I love reading, traveling, and am always up to exploring something or someplace new. I am a nature and an animal lover! I am also a big Sci-Fi fan.

If I were not doing a PhD in business school, I would have been an astronaut, a museum curator, a gardener, or a sommelier. If parallel universes exist, I hope my alternative selves have these jobs and are are enjoying their lives as much as I am.
